Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Some of the young lady team members appear not too confident and not up to venturing on more fun and adventurous stuff so a zodiac cruise with them can be a bit boring as they just rattle on about history or details of the place but we want to look for wildlife and take photos. There were some good team members who are fun to be with in the zodiac.
Tell us about the Ocean Explorer
Food was not great. BBQ dinner was a let-down. We expected, beef, lamb, chicken wings, drumstick etc what you get for BBQ but there was only burger fried to a frazzle and sausages. There was pork which Muslims could not eat and there were many Muslims on board. Rooms were very good with ample storage space. good size had everything you need. Overall ship was good with good space all round.
Tell us about the expedition team
Quark is a reasonably good expedition team but my experience with Polar Latitudes (PL) in Antarctica is better. PL team is more matured and more qualified and sensitive to the guests' needs. Quark team is younger and not so matured.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to The Arctic?
Go to Arctic first if you're planning to do both poles but if you are planning to go to just one pole, then go to Antarctica.
