Operator's Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Oslo

Upon arrival in Norway’s capital, you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your included hotel. Once you’ve checked in, the rest of the day is yours to relax or explore at your own pace.

Day 2: Fly to Longyearbyen and embark on your ship

This morning, enjoy a complimentary breakfast at the hotel. You’ll then transfer to the airport for your charter flight to Longyearbyen in Svalbard.

After arriving, enjoy a guided tour of the town before heading to the pier for embarkation in the late afternoon. Once on board, settle into your cabin, attend the mandatory safety briefings, and soak in the excitement as you cast off and begin our Arctic adventure.

Please keep in mind that the excursion timing depends on the arrival schedule of your charter flight.

Days 3 to 14: Exploring the Svalbard Archipelago

Welcome to one of the world’s most remote and spectacular wilderness regions. Svalbard’s dramatic landscapes – towering mountains, sweeping fjords and stark polar deserts – are rich with natural history and wildlife.

Guided by your experienced onboard expedition team, each day’s itinerary will be shaped by local weather, sea ice and wildlife activity. During the Arctic summer, the sun stays above the horizon around the clock, giving 24 hours of daylight to make the most of every opportunity.

You may encounter walruses lounging on sea ice or beaches, visit cliffs bustling with nesting guillemots, and hear the distinctive calls of little auks from the scree slopes. With a longer voyage than most classic itineraries, the team will aim to explore more remote areas – including Spitsbergen and Nordaustlandet – and may visit Barentsøya and Edgeøya, situated along a known polar bear migration route in the Hinlopen Strait.

Along the way, you’ll visit historic whaling sites and Pomor settlements, glide through icy waters on zodiac cruises, and keep an eye out for beluga whales and ivory gulls.

If conditions allow, you may sail to Svalbard’s northernmost point, a favourite haunt for large walrus colonies.

Optional activities such as kayaking will be offered whenever conditions permit. If you’re up for a thrill, listen out for the call to take part in the polar plunge – an unforgettable dip in ice-cold Arctic waters.

Day 15: Disembark in Longyearbyen and fly to Oslo

Early this morning, arrive back in Longyearbyen and disembark after breakfast. Say goodbye to your expedition team and fellow guests, then enjoy some free time before transferring to the airport for your return charter flight to Oslo, where you can spend more time exploring Scandinavia or continue your onward journey.

Please note that the exact arrival time in Oslo will depend on the final flight slot allocation for the charter flight, expected to be confirmed by February 2026.

NOTE: This itinerary is for guidance only as each voyage will vary depending on ice and weather conditions, and opportunities to see wildlife. Flexibility is key and all part of the adventure of an expeditionary cruise.
