Operator's Itinerary
Pre-cruise night in Copenhagen
Arrive in Denmark's cutting-edge capital city and stay overnight at a premium hotel, included as part of your trip.
Day 1: Embark on your ship in Longyearbyen
Today, you'll take a charter flight to the world’s northernmost town. It sits on Spitsbergen – the largest of Svalbard’s islands – and lays claim to the highest-latitude high street and pub. It’s also home to the North Pole Expeditions Museum, which charts the dramatic early attempts to reach the pole by air. The surrounding Arctic waters are rich in marine life, from bowhead whales and elusive narwhals to the walruses often spotted hauled out on the ice.
Days 2 to 7: Exploring Svalbard
Svalbard, deep within the Arctic Circle, is the realm of the polar bear, home to around 600 of these iconic predators. Its landscapes are strikingly diverse, from towering glaciers and magnificent fjords in the north to tundra plains and pebbled beaches nearer Longyearbyen. The sea ice beyond the fjords offers prime hunting territory for bears, while walrus, Svalbard reindeer, ringed seals and Arctic foxes also thrive in this high-latitude wilderness.
Day 8: Disembark in Longyearbyen and fly to Copenhagen
Today, you'll disembark from your ship back in the world's most northerly town. From here, you'll take a charter flight back to Copenhagen, where you can continue your travels or fly home.
NOTE: This itinerary is for guidance only as each voyage will vary depending on ice and weather conditions, and opportunities to see wildlife. Flexibility is key and all part of the adventure of an expeditionary cruise.
