Operator's Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Reykjavik

Land in Iceland’s capital this morning and head to your included hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore the capital at your own pace.

Day 2: Embark on your ship

This afternoon, you’ll set foot onto your vessel for the first time and officially kick off your expedition. Adventure awaits – get ready.

Day 3: Sailing the Denmark Strait

Today, you'll cruise north across the Denmark Strait, with glimpses of Greenland on the horizon. While at sea, the Arctic experts in your expedition team will offer engaging presentations on wildlife, history, geology, climate and more, setting the stage for what lies ahead.

Keep your eyes peeled for seabirds soaring above and whales surfacing nearby.

Days 4 to 8: Exploring Northeast Greenland

Over the next few days, you’ll navigate the rugged, remote coastline of Northeast Greenland. Zodiac cruises and shore landings will bring you up close to this stunning wilderness. Look out for muskoxen – 40% of the global population lives in this region’s national park.

Weather permitting, you’ll visit Ittoqqortoormiit, the northernmost settlement in East Greenland, for a chance to meet local Inuit residents and learn about their culture. If the skies are clear, you might also catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights. Highlights may include dramatic fjords like Kong Oscar, the towering cliffs and icy waters of Ella Ø, and the wildflower-filled Botanikerbugt on Ymer Ø.

Days 9 & 10: Crossing the Arctic Circle again

As you make your way back across the Denmark Strait and once again cross the Arctic Circle – this time heading south – take time to relax and reflect. Attend a final presentation from the expedition team, share photos, sip something chilled at the bar or catch a film. The team will also be around to answer questions and help you spot more wildlife.

Day 11: Disembark in Reykjavik

Your journey ends back in Reykjavik, where you’ll disembark in the morning. If you’ve arranged post-trip accommodation, a transfer to a downtown location is included.

NOTE: This itinerary is for guidance only as each voyage will vary depending on ice and weather conditions, and opportunities to see wildlife. Flexibility is key and all part of the adventure of an expeditionary cruise.

A highly capable ship for those seeking the atmosphere and ethos of an expedition without compromising on space, comfort or spectacular views.
