Swoop says
Let yourself slow down and truly connect with where you are. Some of the most meaningful moments aren’t the ones you plan for, but the ones that quietly unfold: the hush of ice-covered landscapes, the crunch of snow beneath your boots, the breath you can see hanging in still, polar air. It’s in these subtle details that the Arctic imprints itself on you, one quiet moment at a time.

My top travel experiences
- Coming across a leopard with a kill draped high in a tree. I couldn’t believe how calm it was, completely at ease while watching the world from above. Just finding a leopard in the wild feels special enough, but seeing it like that made the moment unforgettable.
- Taking a helicopter flight over the Great Migration. Herds stretched as far as the eye could see, with dust rising and movement in every direction. From above, it felt endless – like being part of something massive and alive.
- Tiger fishing on the Zambezi River at sunrise. Everything was completely still and quiet, then suddenly the surface exploded with a strike. That shift from calm to chaos is what has stayed with me.
- Hiking up Mount Kilimanjaro. Moving through changing climates, from rainforest to alpine desert, each step felt heavier but more meaningful. Reaching higher into the clouds gave a real sense of scale, effort, and quiet achievement.
More about me
As a passionate wildlife enthusiast, I’ve spent over 10 years in Africa, completing my FGASA qualification and developing a deep love for the natural world. My journey has taken me from the African bush to the Arctic, and I’m always eager to explore new and extreme environments.
In a previous chapter, I worked across Africa embracing every opportunity for adventure – including bungee jumping off the Victoria Falls Bridge in Zimbabwe and river rafting the Zambezi.
When I’m not out in the wild, you’ll likely find me in my garden – attempting to track elusive species like runaway tomatoes and mysteriously disappearing herbs.
